Founder & Visionary
Christine DeJesus brings more than 25 years of dance teaching experience and over 14 years of studio ownership to Raising the Barre. A graduate of St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications, she combines strong business leadership with extensive training in tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, and hip-hop.
A decorated former competitive dancer, Christine earned numerous regional and national titles, including Pre-Teen Miss DEA Nationals, Senior Miss All American Nationals, Senior Miss Dance Explosion, and Senior Miss On Stage America. She also received scholarships from New York City Dance Alliance and JUMP.
Her professional career includes performances at the MTV Video Music Awards and appearances in film, music videos, and national commercials. As a director, mentor, and competition specialist, Christine is known for her eye for detail, commitment to excellence, and ability to inspire dancers to reach their highest potential on and off the stage.

Competitive Dance Instructor, Choreographer & Content Creator
Sadie Sautner is a dedicated and accomplished dance educator specializing in competitive training and advanced technique development. At just 23 years old, Sadie brings over seven years of professional teaching experience to the competitive dance world, working closely with advanced dancers to refine their artistry, technical precision, and stage presence.
As a former title-winning competitive dancer herself, Sadie understands firsthand the discipline, commitment, and mindset required to succeed at the highest levels. Her personal achievements have seamlessly transitioned into a thriving choreography career, where she has created multiple award-winning routines recognized across various dance circuits and studios.
Known for her strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and ability to push dancers beyond their limits, Sadie is passionate about developing well-rounded performers who are both technically sound and emotionally compelling on stage. Her choreography consistently earns top placements, special judges’ awards, and overall titles.
Sadie remains committed to elevating the next generation of competitive dancers through disciplined training, innovative choreography, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

Competitive Dance Instructor & Choreographer
Cordé Young is a New York-born dancer, performer, and educator who has trained extensively in multiple styles since the age of eight. Throughout his career, he has appeared in major television productions including The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Annie Live!, and Étoile, as well as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and numerous commercial and music video projects.
Cordé has performed on some of the nation’s most recognizable stages, including Madison Square Garden and Arthur Ashe Stadium, and with productions presented by the Metropolitan Opera. His performance credits span television, live entertainment, concert dance, music videos, and national tours, working alongside acclaimed choreographers and creative teams throughout the industry.
In addition to performing, Cordé is passionate about mentoring and inspiring the next generation of dancers through teaching, private lessons, and convention work. Known for his versatility, professionalism, and strong technical foundation, he continues to share his love of movement while helping dancers develop confidence, artistry, and performance quality both in and out of the studio.
